Building a Sustainable Future: Perspectives from Finland & India

Prin. L.N. Welingkar Institute of Management Development & Research (WeSchool), Mumbai, successfully organized an insightful guest lecture on "Building a Sustainable Future: Perspectives from Finland & India" on 28 July 2026 at the Boardroom, WeSchool.

The programme commenced with opening remarks by Prof. (Dr.) Pankaj Natu, Director, WeSchool, who welcomed the distinguished guests and highlighted the importance of sustainability as a shared global responsibility. He emphasized the role of higher education institutions in nurturing future leaders who can drive sustainable innovation and create positive societal impact.

The event featured an eminent panel of speakers comprising H.E. Erik af Hällström, Consul General of Finland, Mumbai; Ms. Utkarsha Rajepandhare, Co-founder & Director, Indigena Solutions Pvt. Ltd. and Director, PSR Sustainability Foundation; and Mr. Abhishek Goyal, AVP & Head – Environmental Services, Tata Sons. The speakers shared valuable insights on global sustainability practices, environmental stewardship, responsible business, ESG initiatives, circular economy, and the growing opportunities for collaboration between Finland and India in building a sustainable future.

The interactive session witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and faculty, who engaged with the speakers through thought-provoking discussions and a lively question-and-answer session.

The event was successfully coordinated by Dr. Neelam Raut, Associate Professor – Marketing, who served as the Event Head.
